Argyle Rowland Communications wins Canada's top award for media relations

Public relations firm recognized for the year's top media relations campaign

 

TORONTO, ON, June 15, 2006 - Argyle Rowland Communications is celebrating today after being awarded the Canadian Public Relations Society’s (CPRS) Award of Excellence for Media Relations. Presented on Tuesday evening at the CPRS gala in Niagara Falls, Ontario, the award recognizes outstanding achievement in developing and managing media relations programs, and is judged by a panel of industry peers.

Argyle captured the CPRS Award of Excellence in Media Relations for the firm’s work developing and managing a national media relations campaign in support of the 2005 Purina Walk for Dog Guides. The campaign promoted fundraising walk events in more than 110 communities across Canada, generating more than 170 media stories and reaching an estimate audience of more than 9.7 million Canadians.

Over the last four years, Argyle has earned a total of 15 industry awards, making the agency one of the most acclaimed in Canada. In 2006 Argyle has also earned the CPRS Toronto’s ACE Award, Silver, for Best Use of Special Events and the International Association of Business Communicators Toronto Ovation Award for Marketing Communications.
