A health information systems company, Toronto-based Medcomsoft Inc. has faced the difficult technology environment with a need to build its profile, extend awareness of its products, and maintain the confidence of investors.

MedcomSoft provides tools that enable healthcare professionals to automate their practices and more efficiently connect with patients, researchers, pharmacies, medical suppliers, insurance and pharmaceutical companies.

 
Strategy
Focusing on the public health benefits of Medcomsoft’s system of electronic patient records, Argyle undertook a national media campaign positioning the company’s chief executive as an authority in the field.
 
Tactics
After providing Medcomsoft’s CEO with media skills coaching, Argyle arranged an extensive series of media interviews, resulting in extensive coverage nationally and internationally for the company and its products. Canadian media coverage included full page articles in the Globe and Mail and National Post.
 
Results
Medcomsoft’s Director of Public Relations concluded that while the company had been in business more than 10 years, “Over the past decade we have received far less quality media responses that you were able to arrange in just three months!
