Founder
Since founding Argyle Rowland Communications in 1979, Ray
Argyle has been called on to provide public relations and
public affairs counsel to Canadian and international corporations
in most industry sectors.
Ray has been honoured by the Canadian
Public Relations Society for “outstanding professional competence” in
financial public relations. He also has worked extensively
with the companies in the technology, food and beverage,
healthcare, and professional services industries.
Ray has an extensive background in media, having begun his
career with United Press International. He managed the news
services of a Toronto daily newspaper and established what
is today the Metroland chain of suburban newspapers serving
the Greater Toronto area. He entered public relations as
General Manager of the Public Relations division of Canada's
largest advertising agency.
Ray is the only Canadian to have been
elected a Fellow of the International Public Relations
Association. He is a member
of the Board of the Foundation for the McMichael Canadian
Art Collection, a founder of ArtCanadiana.com, and served
as a Trustee of one of Canada’s largest public school
boards.
