NESTLÉ TURTLES GO RETRO WITH COLLECTABLE TIN

November 12, 2008 (Toronto, ON) – Holiday gift-giving just got a whole lot sweeter for chocolate lovers! Nestlé Canada today announced a new Limited Edition, retro-style TURTLES tin will hit store shelves beginning in November and is available exclusively for the 2008 holiday season while supplies last.

“The original look and feel of a box of Turtles is a cherished memory for Canadians,” says John Herbert, marketing manager for the TURTLES brand. “We switched to individually wrapped chocolates a few years back, but many Turtles loyalists still miss the classic flat boxes and trays. The Limited Edition tin captures the old school feeling in a way that will last long after the chocolates are gone.”

The Limited Edition Turtles Retro Tin is the perfect gift for chocolate lovers. Designed with the original Turtles graphics and flat box packaging in mind, the cool, collectable tin features 24 unwrapped chocolates nestled in traditional trays and made with the original 100% pecan recipe.

Enjoying Turtles with family and friends has been a Canadian tradition since 1949. And this holiday season, Turtles lovers can “Lift, Listen and Win” one of five, $20,000 Ultimate Family Reunions. Five winning sound chips featuring the “Mmm… I love Turtles” jingle will be distributed randomly among Turtles 317 gram, 417 gram and 500 gram boxes — excluding the Limited Edition retro tin — and Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut and No Sugar Added flavour offerings.
