Jugo Juice to be featured on the Canada Line
Secures exclusive food service contract with Vancouver’s new transit service
Vancouver BC, February 17, 2009 – Jugo Juice, Canada’s premium smoothie bar restaurant, today announced an exclusive food service contract with Canada Line, the automated rapid transit service launching in Vancouver later this year. As the exclusive food and beverage provider, Jugo Juice will open seven new locations in stations along the Canada Line route – increasing the total number of restaurants in British Columbia to 27.
”Jugo Juice’s new partnership with Canada Line means that Vancouverites can make healthy choices for both themselves — and the environment,” says Jason Cunningham, Jugo Juice co-founder. “This helps highlight Jugo Juice’s principle of healthy living – we’ll fuel your active lifestyle and Canada Line will provide environmentally friendly travel.”
Each Jugo Juice location on Canada Line will offer a delicious line-up of natural foods ranging from signature real fruit smoothies and fresh-pressed juices to grilled wraps and paninis. The new restaurants are scheduled to open concurrently with the launch of Canada Line, from Oakridge to Waterfront station.
“One of our goals is to provide a high-level of service that is fast, user-friendly and convenient,” said Jean-Marc Arbaud, President and CEO of InTransitBC, the Canada Line’s private-sector Concessionaire. “We are pleased to have Jugo Juice along for the ride, and appreciate their commitment to the communities in which they operate.”
Jugo Juice will also contribute two per cent of sales to the Canada Line Art Program, an initiative that will focus on the development and installation of art in and around transit stations along the line.
